Initiative "Work & Care" started

About every eleventh employee in Germany takes care of a family member. This is shown by current studies. Balancing work and care in a family environment is a multiple burden that can affect the health of those affected and can also result in job losses. With our initiative "Work & Care", we are now focusing more on this topic. The aim is to provide these relatives with advice and support. This could be advice and information offers, special services or even a flexible work organization. On 7 May, the project started with a kick-off event at Campus Charité Mitte (CCM). In doing so, we started the online survey among employees and students that aims to record how many employees and students of the Charité are affected and what kind of support they are imagine.

 
From the results of the survey, we would like to draw a systematic support, together with the social service of the Charité. Therefore, our apell: "Take a few minutes, answer the questions and give us useful suggestions and hints to the hand! Only with your help can we develop suitable offers and ensure that the Charité is even more family-friendly."
