Thanks to active support from Charité students, employees of Charité and CFM, KidsMobil an the Freundeskreis der Charité we have been offering emergency childcare since Monday 16 March, at the three bed-leading campuses of Charité. The children are cared for in small groups.
The caregivers bring variety and excitement to the day with many activities:
- Doing homework with the school children
- Games and sports indoors and outdoors
- Painting and handicrafts
- Teddy Docs
- Movie days
- Face painting
- Reading days in the Charité library
Together with the caregivers, we have also developed campaigns that playfully sensitize the children to hygiene measures. The children sewed colorful face masks together with the supervisors at Charité Campus Mitte in Mitte on 1 April, made lions and sheep masks and created works of art with colorful handprints. "I am thrilled to see how all of our supervisors can offer the children so much play, fun and discovery together, taking into account the necessary restrictions", explains the head of the Office of Family Affairs Sabine Barleben.
Emergency childcare is an offer for all Charité employees as well as subsidiaries and associated companies that do not receive emergency childcare in educational and childcare facilities. Registration for emergency care only via e-mail to familienbuero(at)charite.de and at 577 257.
