Holiday care 2023: New and different!
Finally, the time has come - registration for holiday care 2023 starts today!
You can register your child until 12 June here.
For children aged 8 to 12 of Charité employees, students and trainees*.
From 17.07. to 11.08.23 at the Charité Campus Virchow Klinikum (CVK), there will be an adventure camp with the motto "Discovering people and health", developed together with a new cooperation partner, for four weeks from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the rooms of the Family Office (main entrance Seestr. 4).
- There is a €30 catering fee for lunch for the week.
*This offer is of course also aimed at all employees of CFM, DHZC and BIH.

Holiday emergency care summer 2021
The family office is also offering holiday care this summer in the form of emergency care on campus.
It will take place from June 28 to August 6, 2021 in parallel at the CVK, CCM and CBF locations and can be used if no other options are available. Priority should be given to the offers of schools / daycare centers and family care options.
- We look after children between the ages of 5 and 12.
- Care hours are Mon-Fri from 7.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
- Only healthy children who are not in quarantine can be cared for
- The children should be tested twice a week in the morning
The children are looked after in small groups by our cooperation partner KidsMobil. The meeting point is in the morning in the following rooms:
- CCM: seminar rooms 01.024 and 01.026 in Virchowweg 24, (entrance Hannoversche Str., Straight ahead on Virchowweg, after about 30m number 24 on the right side)
- CVK: parent-child room (next to the guest house, entrance to Seestr.)
- CBF: Room U106 A and U106 B (House V, main building via entrance west and then stairs A down or via the small entrance, directly under the ramp west)
There are no costs for looking after children for employees and students. The offer also applies to employees of subsidiaries such as CFM, Labor Berlin, BIH etc.
If you need child care, please send the completed and signed form to familienbuero(at)charite.de. After confirmation by the family office, care can take place and the children can be brought in at the agreed time.

Child holiday care 2020
As in previous years, we offered your primary school children the option of childcare during the summer holidays.
The holiday trip to the "Mecklenburgische Seenplatte" took place in the 1st week of the summer holidays (29 June - 4 July). Here the focus is on nature, play and fun. The trip is suitable for 20 children aged 8 to 12 and is primarily intended to help the staff who maintain patient care during the summer holidays.
Thanks to the support of the Freundeskreis der Charité, the campus holidays could be held again. They are intended for children aged 6 to 12 years. Every week, 20 children could be looked after from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Under the theme "An adventure trip through the human body", the children learned in a playful way how the human body is structured and how it works. At the same time, they discovered the various work and research areas of the Charité through exciting campaigns.
Child holiday care 2019
Thanks to the support of the Freundeskreis der Charité, the Office of Family Affairs was able to offer holiday child care to a total of 120 children of employees during the summer holidays in 2019. In the first holliday week we went with 20 children to the holiday park Pelzkuhl on the Mecklenburg Lake District. Holliday weeks 2 and 3 40 kids spent a week on the Virchow Clinic campus. On holiday weeks 4 and 5 we were at the Charité Campus Mitte and at week 6 on the Campus Benjamin Franklin.
Child holiday care 2018
Thanks to the support of the Charité Freundeskreis, the holiday camp for children between the ages of 6 and 12 was alternately available to Campi CVK and CCM for two weeks in 2018 (1 round = 1 week) and for one week at the Campus CBF are offered. Each week, 20 children were cared for.
In addition, the Family Office, with the support of the Charité Freundeskreis, was able to offer a one-week holiday trip for the first time this year. From 09. to 15.07.2018 children of employees of the Charité visited the holiday park Pelzkuhl.
Child holiday care 2017
As in previous years, the Office of Family Affairs is working with the Freundeskreis der Charité (Friends of Charité) to organize a summer holiday journey of discovery for the children of Charité members of staff and students.
This is the first time we will be in a position to offer support to large numbers of parents. We are providing two weeks of holiday care on three of the campuses (Charité Mitte, Virchow-Klinikum and Benjamin Franklin).
